Joseph Godwin is a Management Consultant with F&H Solutions Group LLC. He brings more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of regulatory compliance, compensation and employee benefits with a primary specialty in Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other regulatory compliance issues. His work with all types and sizes of companies in various locations and industries has given him broad experience in providing solutions to clients facing the complexities and liabilities of the FLSA, as well as assisting clients with difficult challenges in human resources management.

As a consultant, Joe has managed hundreds of FLSA issues for clients, including Wage-Hour investigations, litigation support, expert witness, and third-party investigator. He has negotiated settlements in federal and multi-state wage-hour claims, and regularly conducts extensive practice audits for clients in regard to job classification, exemptions, overtime, and recordkeeping. He is experienced in litigation support in collective and class actions, as well as individual complaints. Joe is a frequent speaker on FLSA compliance topics, and is a primary contributor for the Ford & Harrison LLP Wage-Hour Manual for employers.

Joe provides extensive audit and review services for clients, involving a detailed review of all human resources practices, policies and processes, as well as guiding clients in organizational and employee relations matters. He regularly deals with client issues across all sectors, including large and small private employers, municipalities and governmental units, and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to joining Ford & Harrison LLP/F&H Solutions Group, he was a principle in a consulting practice serving national and regional companies on regulatory compliance and compensation issues. Previously, Joe held executive positions for national and Fortune 500 companies, with primary responsibility of regulatory compliance and risk management.

He holds a B.S. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Industrial Relations and has extensive continuing education in employment law issues.
