If you’re conducting a workplace investigation, chances are you might be dealing with a complex situation and/or a sensitive subject. Here’s how to deal with a difficult employee during a workplace investigation:
- Remind the employee of the meeting’s purpose—this is a chance for the employee to explain their side
- Remind the employee that refusal to cooperate may be the basis for discipline
